1995, St. Francis HealthServices of
Morris, Minnesota, sponsoredby the
Diocese of St. Cloud, purchasedSurf & Sand
Nursing Home and re-namedthe facility
the "Franciscan Health Center".

Franciscan Health Center, becauseof
our small size, we are more able to
enhance each individual's life with
professional and caring services, and tohelp
resident’s achieve their highest potential.
The
Franciscan Health Center is a Medicare and Medicaid certified facility
providing all levels of care: short term stays for rehabilitative care and
long term care. Franciscan also provides
services and programs for special needs including respite care.

The
Franciscan Health Center is located on the beautiful peninsula of Park
Point overlooking St. Louis Bay and Lake Superior where wildlife abounds
with geese and ducks flocking on the bay. To the north you can see the
picturesque City of Duluth and the majestic hills.
Major
emphasis is placed on services that help restore the body and spirit and
encourages the resident to function as independently as possible.
A resident's
day is enriched by a variety of activities. Volunteers and auxiliary
members augment our staff to provide companionship and support to our
residents, assist with various activities outings, and sponsor a gift shop
located in the heart of the facility.
Our Pastoral
Care services provide spiritual care for all residents. This involves
personal attention to the individual needs of each resident. The chaplain
works with local clergy to meet the
denominational needs regarding religious services and spiritual guidance
for our residents. Franciscan Health Center is a community oriented
facility, combining residents and neighbors and events. Community
interaction is welcomed and encouraged.

Franciscan Health Center
